Youth Soccer offers Recreational and Select divisions. Round robin play. Semi-final, consolation and championship games will be the same length as preliminary games.
NOTE: Not all divisions/subdivisions will playoff for medals. Some medals will be awarded based on the results of bracket play.
The State Games of America reserves the right to combine divisions, alter field/goal sizes if need be.
6U & 8U will be played as a jamboree format. No scores or standings will be kept.

Time
NO SCHEDULES WILL BE MAILED! Tournament rules, schedules and map will be posted here approximately 7 days prior to competition. Please click the ‘Schedules’ tab located underneath the drop down menu to find schedules.
Must have a viable roster entered by July 6.
Referee Requirements
Providing names of officials is not required, however we request your help to build our officials database. If you know anyone that would be interested in being a paid referee at the State Games of America Youth Soccer tournament please be sure to list them during registration. Please keep in mind, all paid soccer officials are covered by State Games of America insurance.
If you are interested in being a paid referee for the State Games of America, click HERE. This will allow us to gather your availability for scheduling purposes. Once a schedule is complete, the referee assignor will be contacting you regarding your assigned games.

Age Determining Date
Iowa Soccer is following a birth year matrix for the 2021-2022 season. Easiest way to determine what division you need to play in is by the birth YEAR of the oldest child on your team.

+ Awards
Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded to the top three places in each division. Depending on the number of teams in your bracket, medals will be awarded based on points or bracket play.
+ Packet Pick-Up
Athletes can pick up their packets at Sukup South End Zone Club at Jack Trice Stadium. Access to Sukup End Zone is from University Boulevard. (MAP)

Teams are not required to submit a roster during registration. All rosters must be submitted online no later than July 6.

*Admission:
SGA spectator admission fees will be added during registration. This includes unlimited spectators. No wristbands will be given and are not necessary to enter facilities where team sports take place.
Opening Ceremony spectator tickets are not included and can be purchased separately for $10 per person. Ages 2 and under are free. To learn more on how to purchase additional Opening Ceremony Tickets, click HERE.
***All team sports participants and coaches can attend all events (including Opening Ceremony) at no charge. Participants must show their athlete/coach credential for entry. Credentials will be distributed during packet pick-up.
